The Tom Chambers Mission

Our commitment to reducing environmental impact

  • Looking at using less packaging in all areas of our business
  • Using waste packaging and waste timber in our innovative bio-mass boiler to heat our warehouse and factories
  • We are proud to produce quality products which will ensure cycles of re-use, meaning less products end up in landfill
  • We produce around 60% of our products on site in Yorkshire, ensuring a much smaller carbon footprint
  • We are FSC certified and all the timber which arrives at our factory comes from responsibly managed forests

Our commitment to recycling

  • We are a member of the OPRL, the On-Pack-Recycling label scheme who’s aim is to deliver a simple consistent and UK wide message on all packaging
  • All our bird food bags can be recycled and carry the ‘ RECYCLE ME’ logo, simply recycle them either kerbside or in larger stores

Garden Furniture Covers

Trade response to our range of furniture covers has been fantastic, we have seen a rapid increase in orders over the season.

Launched at Solex in July 2019, the new range has already been listed in a number of major independent garden centres and groups.

The covers bring a completely new approach to protecting outdoor furniture and BBQs. Manufactured from a stylish and contemporary woven material producing a luxury feel which is new to the UK market. The covers have been designed to not only protect furniture but to add to the overall appearance of the garden or patio.

The Tom Chambers RainGuard PVC free material is water repellent and weather proof ensuring year-round protection against all the elements. Heavy duty aluminium eyelets with extra strong bungee cords ensure firm security. High quality packaging incorporating product information and full colour graphics uses the same material as the covers to stand out in store.

Celebrating 50 Years

We are extremely proud to be celebrating 50 years as a British Manufacturer and it’s incredible to think just how far we’ve come!

The picture (top right) shows Alan Medley, the founder of the company, working from our very first premises, an old farm building on the outskirts of Leeds. Once completed, the products were transported to another building in Batley where they were packed. Nothing was labelled back then!
