Tom Chambers is a family business, established over thirty years. From our 7-acre factory and warehousing site in Goole, East Yorkshire, we have grown from humble beginnings to become one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of garden, bird care products and bird feed in the UK.

Positioned very much at the quality end of the market, many of our products are hand made at our factory in East Yorkshire exclusively for the garden trade. One building houses the steelwork, including fourteen welding bays and the plastic coating line. Another contains our woodwork facility, from automated CAD routers for making display stands to 100 feet long dipping baths and slate cutting rooms. There is a further 65,000 square foot of warehousing space with a new warehouse in the planning stage to provide a further 30,000 square feet.

A nationwide sales force endeavours to visit each garden centre as often as possible, helping to build relationships as well as the odd display stand or two! Merchandising is recognised as an important part of our business and we try to support the garden centres in this aspect as best we can. This sales force is backed up by a team of customer support staff who make sure the order system runs as smoothly as possible. Of course, without up to date, efficient logistics all this would be for nothing, and so we have a dedicated and experienced picking and despatch team, with our own fleet of liveried wagons working to make sure our customers receive their orders on time and without fuss.

Naturally, expansion is an important part of our short-term plan and, although our mainstream business is, and will continue to be bird care and garden ironwork, we are constantly looking for ways to increase our product offering to the garden industry.

One such product is our recently launched range of resin wild garden animals and birds. We have worked very hard to ensure that these are as lifelike as possible and look forward to these being a successful addition to the business. Look out for more product launches on the way.

Tom Chambers is still run by the same people that were there from the beginning. The family has, even in the face of competition, refused to sacrifice quality for the sake of being the cheapest on the shelf. Fortunately, enough of our loyal and long standing customers have told us that this is not only recognised but positively encouraged.
